In an invited comment, Jagdeo told iNews that the opposition’s statement that he, Bharrat Jagdeo is a liability; is of little consequence to himself or the party he represents.
Opposition spokesman Joseph Harmon had said that the Coalition is unfettered by this move by the PPP to include Jagdeo on its slate, noting that Jagdeo is “damaged goods and there is nothing that can redeem him in the eyes of the Guyanese people…his entry could only damage the PPP right now because he has a very bad record of governance in this country.”
But in a response, Jagdeo said he finds it amusing that the coalition is spending more time commenting on him and the PPP/C’s list and rather than own their own list.
The Former President questioned “why should Granger be worried if I’m a liability to the PPP/C? Is he an advisor to the party now?
He then went on to advice that “Granger would do well explaining his deficient list of candidates rather than deflecting by talking about my presence”.
Jagdeo had on previous occasions indicated a lack of interest in returning on the Party’s list after demitting office in 2011, stating that he was not interested in a constitutional post.
He has however had a change of heart owing to the demands of Party supporters.
Explaining his decision to return on the PPP/C list Jagdeo said “it was not my original decision to be on list of candidates; but the Party and its membership convinced me to be part of the list of candidates as it would send the signal that I’m fully engaged in the struggle, which I am”.
He is best yes I agree but at what let me tell you some of what he is best at. Lies, theft, corruption, racism, hypocrisy and most of all lost in himself.

Youths of Guyana, Please examine the lists of both PPP and PNC and see for yourself which list have how many youths in both numbers and percentages.
Look at all the old faces that are clamoring for power. Look at how many young teachers are graduating from the teachers training college, Guyana School of Agriculture, Guysuco training school, Universities, etc. etc. Look at how many telemarketing centers opening up all over the country. Every youth walking around with a cell phone now, even the poorest person. The world is at your finger tip now because of internet and technology. PPP is all about the future.
Do you want to go forward? OR Backward out of arrogance/ignorance?
VOTE PPP! VOTE with the youth for continued Prosperty, and Development.
