The manager of a mining operation, Chris Shewram, was this afternoon air-dashed to the Georgetown Public Hospital nursing severe head and body injuries that he sustained from an accident at Itaballi in Region Seven.
INews understands that Shewram was waiting at the Itaballi Crossing when a motor lorry slammed into his parked All Terrain Vehicle (ATV).
Hospital sources confirmed that the man sustained broken arms and legs along with head injuries. He is presently a patient at the GPHC and is listed in a stable condition. The police have also reportedly taken the driver of the motor vehicle into custody as they continue their investigations.
