[www.inewsguyana.com] – Investigations into the death of 4 – year – old Jaden Mars have been completed and the report is currently with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) Michael Khan.
When contacted on Tuesday (December 17) by iNews Khan confirmed this to be true. He said recommendations are currently being drafted and the findings of the investigation will be released soon.
Khan was reluctant to make public the outcome of the investigation since it yet to be shared with the relatives of the former Assension Nursery School lad.
According to a post mortem examination, Mars died from a blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches by a substance that has traveled from elsewhere in the body through the bloodstream (Pulmonary Embolism).
He died at the GPHC on Tuesday December 10, after spending six days at the institution on life support. His mother Natalie Caseley had speculated that her son may have been overdosed or the right procedures may not have been followed.
Mars was taken to the institution on Wednesday, December 4 for stitches, after biting his tongue during a fall.
The controversy surrounding his death is what led Officials at the hospital to launch a probe into the circumstances surround Mars’ death.
He was laid to rest on Tuesday, December 17.
