Two residents of Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), were air-dashed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) early Monday morning as their conditions worsened. Both men were involved in a double motorcycle collision in the ETI Chinese Lock area at about 15:00hrs Sunday.
Ganesh Lall, 36, of Lima Sands and Lakeram Lall, 28, of Anna Regina Housing Scheme, suffered severe injuries following the collision. Reports are that the men are nursing head injuries, broken feet and arm.
On Sunday, both men were transported by public-spirited citizens to the Suddie Public Hospital where they underwent emergency surgeries. They were later placed in the Intensive Care Unit at the Suddie Hospital and subsequently air dashed to Georgetown.
Reports are that Ganesh Lall, a rice farmer, was riding motorcycle CE 1061 when he collided with Lakeram Lall, who was riding motorcycle PFF 7071. Both riders were heading in opposite directions when the collision occurred. They were both picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the Suddie hospital.
The Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
