[www.inewsguyana.com] – A number of persons agree that the current configuration of Guyana’s 10th Parliament is contributing to National Progress, following a poll conducted by iNews.
However, it was a close one, since at one point the votes were evenly divided. In the end, 50 percent agreed and 48 percent disagreed when asked: Does the current configuration of the National Assembly contribute to national progress?
Two percent of respondents were undecided. Some persons are of the opinion that the current outline of the national assembly not only waste time and tax payers’ money but has become an arena where personal vendettas are pursued.
The combined opposition – A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) and the Alliance for Change (AFC) make up the majority in the National Assembly.
