[www.inewsguyana.com] – More than 140 students in the community of Wakapoa were given footwear on September 3, compliments of Sterling Products Limited’s (SPL) Igloo Ice Cream.
Each child from Nursery to Grade 6 received footwear. The community, located in Region 2, depends mainly on farming, fishing and producing products of cassava, such as cassava bread and casareep.
Chief Executive Officer (ag) Deodat Indar said the company is happy to be associated with such an initiative and will continue to engage through its Corporate Social Responsibility programme to assist the residence of Wakapoa as well as other communities throughout Guyana.
