[www.inewsguyana.com] – Four persons were today placed on $100,000 bail each after pleading not guilty to a joint ammunition charge.
Twenty – one – year old Supervisor at Humphrey’s Bakery, Jacint Williams; his 33 – year – old wife Tiffani Williams, along with 20 – year – old mason, Nacosi Gittens and 20 – year – old Mechanic Quason Roberts, all appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine – Beharry.
The couple resides at Lot 163 Curtis Street, Albouystown, and their visitors – Gittens and Roberts – all pleaded not guilty to the charge. It is alleged that on October 21 at the couple’s home in Curtis Street, they had in their possession one .45 ammunition when neither of them were holders of a firearm license.
All four persons were represented by Attorney – at – law, Paul Fung – A – Fat.
Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant told the Court that a search was carried out at the house when the items were found in a white plate in one of the two bedrooms.
The Police Prosecutor did not oppose bail and the matter was transferred before Magistrate Fabayo Azore for November 09.
