Due to diligent investigative work by the various agencies, authorities at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport have made yet another huge cocaine bust.
According to information reaching INews, last evening, officers of the Police Narcotics Branch intercepted a cargo shipment of over thirty boxes of frozen seafood of which eight contained a total of 88.2 kilos of cocaine.
A source told INews that the shipment was part of outgoing cargo at the airport.
So far, one person has been arrested and is assisting with the investigation. However, a source close to the investigation said that it is highly possible that several other persons were involved in trying to smuggle the illegal substance out of the country.

Our entire country gets a bad rap every time there is a drug bust . Everyone wants a big house , fancy cars . Drugs is not the answer. Its just a temporary factor. Every passenger becomes a suspect because of these mules. Why dont they get a license and try exporting Fish, Dry Shrimps, fine thyme, etc. Food that will actually help people and not hurt people.
