At least two houses located at Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara (EBD) have been completely destroyed in a fire.
Reports are that the houses located at Lot 99 and Lot 100 were completely gutted while another structure is partially damaged from the blaze. The fire erupted just after 13:00hrs today.
The cause of the fire is not yet known but residents suspect it may be electrical in origin. Some 30 people have been affected.
