Ranks conducting a routine stop and search operation on the West Coast of Demerara (WCD), about 00:05hrs this morning on the Leonora Public Road found an unlicenced .32 pistol with magazine and five (5) live matching rounds under the driver’s seat of a hire car.
Moreover, officers also found two live .32 ammunition in the pocket of one of two passengers of the vehicle.
According to the police, the trio (driver and two passengers) who are from La Grange, West Bank Demerara (WBD), Uitvlugt, WCD and Diamond, East Bank Demerara respectively, have been taken into custody and are assisting with the investigation.
