[www.inewsguyana.com] – As the days shorten for the 4th Annual Independence cup T20 Competition; the list of companies inking interest continues to grow, Hand- In-Hand, the latest to do so.
The Company over the weekend showed their support for the event by handing over a sponsorship cheque to the Chairman of the Organizing committee Anil Beharry.
The company’s representative Tajpaul Ajodhia said that his company is aware of the role of sports and its development at the community level and they are keen to stimulate that.
In response, Beharry dubbed the company ‘a good corporate citizen’ and as such urged more companies to follow suit.
Set for the Albion Community Centre ground on May 25, the event will feature two semi-finals; Berbice ‘A’ taking on East Coast Jaguars from 11:00 hours and Berbice ‘B’ taking on Georgetown Cricket Association XI three from 14:00.
The winners will battle in the final from 19:00 hours. The proceeds from the event will go towards charitable organizations, such as cricket clubs, orphanages, schools and health organizations among others.
