A 25-year-old labourer was earlier today remanded to prison for illegally being in possession of two firearms, when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Jermain Marius of 70 Hadfield Street, Georgetown pleaded not guilty to the charges which stated that on September 30, 2016 he was found to be in possession of a .32 Taurus Pistol as well as a .38 special revolver, while being unlicensed for same.
Marius’ Attorney-at-Law requested bail in a reasonable amount, however it was refused. The defendant is expected to returned to Court on October 26, 2016.
