A Guyanese woman and several Venezuelan nationals were detained by Trinidad police at bars on Friday over the past weekend.
According to a report in the Trinidad Express Newspaper, some of the Venezuelan women have been released from custody, but the Guyanese woman remain detained.
According to the Express, of the 18 Venezuelan women held, three of them remain at police stations.
However, all 13 of the Venezuelan men remain detained.
Police said a total of 32 immigrants were detained during an exercise carried out by officers from Penal CID, South Western Division Task Force and Immigration Division on the exercise.
