The Government of Guyana has extended its sympathy to the Government and people of Belgium, following the recent terrorist attacks that killed more than 30 and left more than one 150 wounded.
Addressing the Post Cabinet media briefing yesterday, Minister of Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman, in addition to expressing sympathy on behalf of the Government and people of Guyana, said this country and its people stand unflinchingly with the people of Belgium and Europe. “ No one and no place is immune to terrorist activities, … We stand in solidarity with those persons.” Trotman said.
On Tuesday, suicide bombers detonated explosives packed in suitcases at the Brussels Airport and an hour later on a Metro Railway. The Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
