The West Indies Cricket Board/West Indies Players’ Association awards ceremony which was held on Tuesday night, at Hangar 10, in Antigua, saw several individuals/ teams being awarded for their outstanding performances recently.
In addition to the individual awards, members of the West Indies Under-19 team, West Indies Women’s team and West Indies men’s team received special commemorative rings.
The Under-19s won the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup when they beat India in the final at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 14.
The men and women won the ICC World T20 titles on the April 3 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India. The women beat Australia eight wickets to win their first world title.
The men beat England six wickets in dramatic fashion to lift the trophy for the second time.
