At least five persons are injured as gunmen storm the Princess Hotel and Casino located at Providence, East Bank Demerara just after 3:00h this morning.
INews understands that one of the bandits who was left behind has since been apprehended by the police and is assisting with investigations.
Reports say that some of those injured are expected to undergo surgery soon.
The police are on the hunt for the others.

Seriously, something drastic needs to be done about those bandits! The Guyana Police have to step up their game in the penalty so that those mindless, demonic criminals could pay for their crimes and stop having Citizens lives in fear. I am sick, tired and fedup with them bandits now. What is causing all that thiefing in Guyana? Is it poverty that the men are facing, lack of education, what? Let us identify the problem and help them that way we can solve the problems. If it is lack of education, poor parenting, poverty, lack of jobs or skills to become employable then oh my gosh all citizens can formulate a plan and work it so that this thiefing and killing cycle can stop! I do hope my comment here will reach someone in authority that can take my advice and let us help bring down crimes in Guyana.
