[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police have been able to apprehend two alleged bandits minutes after they attacked and robbed a Strathspey, East Coast Demerara businessman today, Tuesday, August 12.
According to a police report, at approximately 13:00hrs, 36 – year – old Oma Persaud was in her shop, when she was attacked by two men, one of whom were armed with a firearm.
The men held her at gunpoint and took away an undisclosed sum of cash and escaped in a waiting motor car. The police responded to the report received and subsequently arrested the two suspects in another motor vehicle along Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.
They have been positively identified and are in police custody.
