[www.inewsguyana.com] – At approximately 11:00h this morning (Thursday, June 05), two gunmen entered the Soesdyke Post Office and carted off with an undisclosed sum of cash.
They carried out the act after holding employees and customers who were in the building at the time at gunpoint.
One resident told iNews that he heard a “loud banging” and later saw two men exiting the post office, concealing their weapon.
The men then joined a tinted blue car, which was waiting on them outside.
iNews was told that the very car has been in the area for the past two days traversing in the very vicinity.
Meanwhile, a former employee of the post office who was in the building at the time of the robbery was arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
When iNews visited the post office, the employees would not say much and slammed their doors and windows shut.
