[www.inewsguyana.com] – An East Coast Demerara businessman is now traumatized after two gunmen held a gun to his head and took away a bag containing $2M in cash.
iNews was reliably informed that Ramcharran Narine had just returned home from a City bank, when he was accosted by the two gunmen as he entered his yard.
iNews understands that the businessman is a car dealer and had just changed a cheque at the bank; it is suspected that he was traced by the gunmen to his house.
This news entity was reliably informed that the gunmen tried to escape in the car – a silver grey Premio PRR 1050 – and drove up a dead end street when the businessman stopped them and pulled out his firearm.
However, the gunmen abandoned the car and ran away. The robbery was captured on security cameras.
That was one thing that the firearm bill suppose to prevent. Unfortunately the opposition voted it down. The opposition therefore support gun going into the hands of untrained individual hands.
This is so sad what these people are doing to get fast money, luckily they took the money instead of his life.
One more gun in the hands of the criminals,,great job ,,keep giving the guns away,,,untrained ppl should not carry guns
are you sure its PRR1050 or 1027? i heard this PRR 1027 usually switches number plates, so a proper investigation need to be carried out.
SOMEONE IN THE BANK TIPPED OFF TGE CROOKS
Citizens would be well advised not to walk around with large amounts of cash . But even if you have to, make sure you have in place measures to protect yourself. Otherwise you may not be as lucky as Mr. Narine.
