A contractor is now recovering from a state of shock after being shot at twice and narrowly escaping death last evening along the East Bank Demerara (EBD).
INews was told that the contractor who hails from Leonora, West Coast Demerara (WCD) was driving his motor vehicle out of the Eccles Old Road, EBD, and proceeding on the main public road when two men on a motorcycle came into close range with him.
One of the two men was armed with a gun and fired two shots in the contractor’s direction.
According to a source, one of the bullets managed to “graze him” but he received no life threatening injuries.
The two men on the motorcycle sped away from the scene and police are said to be conducting investigations into the matter.
At this point in time it is unclear as to the motive of the two perpetrators.
