When the ranks got to the scene, a suspect was arrested as he attempted to escape on a bicycle, according to a police press release.
An unlicensed Glock 9mm. pistol with 11 rounds were found in the suspect’s possession and the stolen articles comprising a handbag, spectacles and cash were recovered.
The suspect is in police custody and will be charged shortly, the police said.
