[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph company (GT&T) and Hand In Hand have partnered with the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) to stage their 4 day inter-county tournament.
During a presentation on Tuesday, November 26, Secretary of the Guyana Cricket Board Annand Sanasie indicated that the GCB is trying to rebuild the legacy in the longer format.
He indicated that in their own little way, the cricket board is seeking to build the level of the longer format of the game hence their race to have more four day tournaments.
The tournament which begins on November 28 will see four teams in Demerara, Essequibo, Berbice and the President’s 11 battling it out for top honors.
The first round of action will put the Demerara side against their President’s 11 counterparts at Enmore community centre with Essequibo playing Berbice at the Demerara Cricket Club Ground during the same period.
The second round will put Berbice against the President’s 11 and the Demerara side against their Essequibo counterparts while the third round will bring together a much anticipated clash between Berbice and Demerara.
The three round tournament will go until December 15th.
