A Grove, East Bank Demerara house was yesterday morning robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry, a television set, computers and other electronic devices.
INews understands that this is the second time the same home has been targeted by bandits. The robbery occurred at approximately 09:30hrs while the owner of the home, identified as “Roy” and his wife were out.
INews was informed that the two bandits entered the home by removing the grillwork on a door which they forced open. The cameras on the premises were also found to be cut.
It was the neighbours who became aware of what was transpiring at the home when they noticed two men with guns inside the house. Upon their observation, they immediately contacted the owner “Roy”.
However, when he arrived home, the men had already fled the scene and the house was ransacked. The police were informed of the robbery and investigations are ongoing. (Ramona Luthi)
