The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) in a statement issued this morning said it has noted with concern a number of allegations and issues against officers of the agency which were raised by members of the Upper Corentyne business community.
The Authority said it wishes to assure the general public that these allegations are currently under investigation, the findings of which will be made available to the public.
Over the years, calls from various sections of the population have been increasing for the revenue body to take stronger action against officers who are found to be involved in corrupt practices.
