Business owners and citizens traversing Regent Street, around the GuyOil Service Station area, earlier today, went into panic mode as a Guyana Power and Light (GPL) transformer burst into flames.
Several businesses in the area were forced to seize operations. Members of the Guyana Fire Service arrived on the scene promptly and contained the fire.
