[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police yesterday afternoon swooped down on a location in the city and arrested a public servant in connection with the murder of Courtney Crum – Ewing.
The public servant would now be the second person who is in the custody of the police.
iNews has been reliably informed that the man had approached the first suspect shortly before Crum – Ewing was gunned down and offered him several million dollars to execute another opposition activist but that offer was turned down.
Police sources are maintaining that the first suspect who is in police custody is in fact the man who pulled the trigger on Crum – Ewing, who was gunned down on March 10, 2015 at Third Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara while using a bull horn to encourage residents to vote for the APNU+AFC.
After four months, investigators finally made an arrest on Friday last in the man’s murder but Police Commissioner, Seelall Persaud would not reveal the identity of the suspect in custody or where he was arrested so as not to hamper the investigations.
Self confessed ‘death squad’ member, Sean Hinds has sought to clear his name in the murder during an exclusive interview with Travis Chase of HGPTV Nightly News on Tuesday, July 21 and has since pointed fingers at two activists of the now Opposition People’ Progressive Party, whom he said should be questioned by the police.
The police are doing their job, its up to the justice dept to take this case all the way to prosecution.
Wow what an impressive list you are good, they should be given the award for the most devious and dishonest.
Wow you are good , what a long list of players they all should be given the award for the most devious / dishonest.
Congratulations in order for the public security Establishment for the progress on this case. Seems like Guyana can look forward to a functioning justice system to help bring closure for the family and the society.
