[www.inewsguyana.com] – General Manager of the Guyana Gold Board (GGB) Anantram Balram has resigned.
The Board’s Chairman Mr. Gobin Ganga, when contacted by iNews today, confirmed that Balram handed in his resignation last week.
iNews was reliably informed that the General Manager was asked by the Board to resigned; however, Ganga denied this to be true; claiming that Balram’s resignation was voluntary.
He refused to divulge the reasons for Balram’s resignation, regarding such information as personal and confidential.
Several efforts by iNews to contact Balram proved futile.
He was acting as the General Manager of the Gold Board for several years before he was confirmed last year February.
According to the Board’s Secretary Bobby Gosai, no one has been identified to fill the post as yet.
He said the position will be advertised in the local dailies which will initiate the hiring process.
