[www.inewsguyana.com] – A house in the Village of Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara was this morning destroyed by fire while several other nearby houses were partially destroyed.
The fire is said to have left three persons homeless.
According to residents in the area at about midnight (Sunday September 29) they heard a loud explosion, moments later fire was seen coming from the home.
Residents, who responded immediately, soon after solicited the help of the Guyana Fire Service and contained the blaze.
While iNews was unable to make contact with the occupants of the home, it understands that the family losses are estimated in the millions.
The owner of the home has been identified as Pamela Neils aka ‘Pam’, a businesswoman who operates a fishshop in the area.
