[www.inewsguyana.com] – Search parties are still looking for the body of 49 – year – old Patrick Ramkellawan, who went missing following a boat collision in the Pomeroon River around midnight on Saturday October 12.
iNews understands that Ramkellawan is a Drill Engineer attached to the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC). He resides in West Coast Berbice.
When contacted by iNews, the man’s wife was too distressed to talk. She told this news agency that she last heard from the government agency on Sunday that they were still looking for her husband’s body.
Reports coming out of the area indicate that the boat belongs to a government agency and that it was transporting several persons when it capsized.
Information reaching this news agency revealed that several persons were rescued, except Ramkellawan. According to reports, the government vessel was returning from Charity to the Upper Pomeroon.
