[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) through its Normalization Committee appointed a new General Secretary, Trinidadian Richard Groden.
The federation also selected Diedre Davis as its Assistant General Secretary. Davis will commence her duties from February 24 while Groden will commence his work from March 2.
“CONCACAF recommended Mr. Groden and he will serve as General Secretary of the Federation during the tenure of the NC and will demit office on the completion of the NC’s mandate, a release from the Normalization Committee stated.
The release added that, “Ms Davis will serve as Assistant General Secretary of the Federation and will work directly with Mr. Groden in the coming months and will assume the functions of General Secretary on Mr. Groden’s departure,” a release from the Normalization Committee stated.
Groden is the former General Secretary of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation, a position he held for 15 years. Groden is also familiar with the operation of international football networks and served on numerous FIFA and CONCACAF committees throughout his career.
Davis holds an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations from the University of Guyana.
