[www.inewsguayna.com] – The Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation has penciled their General Council meeting for September 20 at the Cara Lodge from 16:00hrs to 18:00hrs.
Ten items are scheduled to be discussed at the meeting, including the elections for the positions of GABF Secretary and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer.
In addition, an update on the fines and suspensions of players on the men’s national basketball team for off court misconduct at the 2014 Caribbean basketball Confederation (CBC) Championships will also be discussed as well as the basketball scholarship from Odessa College offered to Ginelle Ifill.
All affiliates to the GABF are asked to be present at the general council meeting in order to exercise their voting rights.
However, members whose fees are partially paid or not paid, and potential members will have up to September 17th to pay their fees and attain voting rights at the General Council Meeting.
The GABF also highlight those associations that owe fees to the federation; Guyana Women’s Basketball Association, Georgetown Masters Basketball Association (Veterans), GT Pioneers Basketball Association (Veterans) and The Coaches Association.
