[www.inewsguyana.com] – The family of the late Terry Holder hopes that the younger generation can build on the legacy left in cricket.
During a wake held on Sunday evening (January 12), Holder’s son Shaka envisaged a sport without his father but said that the time has come for a younger batch to carry on the works that his father has done for so many years.
He indicated that the cricket board was very important to his father because of his general love for the sport, noting that once cricket was developing, his father was happy.
The Cricket Board’s Secretary, Anand Sanasie dubbed the late Holder as a ‘character’ that would express his views very sternly.
Holder, who had a long standing health issue sought to stand down from the cricket board last year in an attempt to get fresh blood in the sport but still offered advice.
