The family of 28-year-old, Kevin Ketwaroo called “Wild Buck” whose body was discovered floating in a trench at Craig Side Line dam, East Bank Demerara (EBD) on Monday last are now searching for answers after a postmortem examination conducted on the mason determined that he died as a result of blunt trauma to the head along with compression injuries to the neck.
Moreover, Ketwaroo’s family believes that he was murdered and thrown into the trench in which he was found, since according to them he was involved in a fight on Saturday last at the Third Street, Grove, Ball Field.
However the persons that he reportedly fought with are yet to be identified by Police.
INews had previously reported that the Friendship resident was pulled out of the trench at about 14:45h on the day in question in a partially decomposed state.
Police have disclosed that according to the man’s younger sister who identified his body, she last saw him on August 1 at about 07:00h when he visited her home to borrow money.
Ketwaroo’s wife has also allegedly told investigators that approximately one month ago, the deceased had physically abused her and as such, she had made a report at the Grove Police Station. However, when the ranks turned up to arrest the man, he had allegedly fled.
To this end, the mason’s wife said that since then, she has been residing alone in Sophia, Georgetown.
Persons in the Kaneville, East Bank Demerara area who have since been questioned by the Police have confirmed that Ketwaroo was indeed involved in a fight.
His family is now pleading for anyone with information to urgently make contact with the Grove Police Station.
Investigations are continuing.
