[www.inewsguyana.com] – Commissioner of Police (ag) Seelall Persaud today (June, 11) confirmed that the reputed husband of Shelly Persaud – 32 – year – old Vindra Tyram – confessed to killing the 25 – year – old mother of three on Tuesday evening (June,10) at their Friendship, East Bank Demerara home.
According to the Commissioner, the man’s story is consistent with the results of the Post Mortem which was conducted today. The PM showed that the woman died from suffocation due to manual strangulation
The Commissioner said the file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice. iNews understands that the woman and her husband would usually argue because of his alcoholic habits.
Shelly Persaud was found leaning over a bucket at the bottom of her step by her reputed husband. The woman’s father, Orin Morris suspected foul play all a long and said his daughter could not have drown because her head was in a bucket that barely had water and her underwear was pulled down.
The man had given the family the impression as if the woman committed suicide.
