Four men remanded for receiving stolen Flat Screens, DVD Players

DSC05183Four men were today remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with the offence of receiving stolen property. Twenty – one – year – old Omallo Williams of Leopole Street Georgetown, 25 – year – old Nicolas Choy of Charlotte Street Georgetown, 42 – year – old Orin Bradley, a taxi driver of Plaisance and 30 – year – old Jason David of Main Street Georgetown all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

It is alleged that on September 10 in Georgetown, Omallo Williams received one flat screen television valued $110,000 knowing that it was stolen. The court also heard that on September 09 Nicolas Choy received one flat screen television and one DVD player valued $260,000.

On the same day, Orin Bradley also received one flat screen television valued $204,000, while Jason David received three flat screen televisions valued at $714,000 and three DVD players valued at $36000 knowing that all were unlawfully obtained.

Three of the four men, who had legal representation, requested reasonable bail. However, the Magistrate remanded all four to prison until September 16. [Royan Abrams]remanded feature.
