[www.inewsguyana.com] – Four men charged with robbery with personal violence were ordered to post $150,000 bail each by Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry.
Travis King, Akeem Stanley, Curtland Stanley and Godfrey Lynch all pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on Friday, March 28 they robbed Stephan Phillips of one gold chain and a cell phone valued in total at $370,000.
The court was told that during the robbery, five men including the four assaulted the VC who was eventually rescued by ranks on a mobile patrol.
The men then fled the scene but were pursued by the police who apprehended four of the five. The Prosecutor did not object to bail and the case was put off to April 30.
