[www.inewsguyana.com] – QualiTEST – a laboratory offering medical testing services opened its Diamond, East Bank Demerara branch on Friday morning, February 14.
QualiTEST is the brainchild of Yvette Irving, the sister of the wife of Prime Minister Samuel Hinds. Irving is a Medical Laboratory Scientist with over 26 years of experience. She was once was the country’s Lab Director and is currently an International Lab Consultant.
Among testing that can be done at the location are: glucose, cholesterol, liver and kidney panel and hemoglobin testing with a turnaround results time of 2 – 3 hours. The Diamond branch is located on the public road, a few building from the Diamond Diagnostic Centre.
Tests that cannot be done here will be referred to a lab in Miami. QulaiTEST’s main branch which was opened in October 2013 is located in Alberttown, Georgetown.
Irving has boast of very affordable cost structures to match the Guyanese public. She says she will be moving within the next two years to acquire her international accreditation, while work has begun for the local accreditation process. She also plans to grow the business to offering full fledge diagnostic services.
