[www.inesguyana.com] – A Footballer was on Monday, December 07, 2015 released on bail by Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan for the offense of break and enter.
Twenty – six – year old Ransford Colridge of 34 Queens Street, South Cummingsburg, Georgetown denied the allegation which read that on Thursday, September 17, at Rosemary Lane, Georgetown he broke and entered into the home of Mandela Archer with the intent to commit a felony.
His lawyer, Paul Fung-A-Fat told the Court that his client is a local footballer who plays for the Western Tigers football team. He stated that on the day in question, Colridge was walking pass the house when he was arrested by the Police.
Prosecutor Deniro Jones made no objections to bail; however he argued against the Attorney’s claims. Prosecutor Jones stated that on the day in question, the accused was found hiding in the woman’s house naked. He further related that at the time, the woman’s son and daughter were at home.
The Magistrate, after listening to both arguments, granted the accused $30,000 bail and transferred the matter to Court Ten for January 13, 2016.
