1

A man on Tuesday appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to a larceny charge.

Nathaniel Biswanauth, a fish vendor, court denied the charge which alleged that on December 27, 2015 he stole $190,000 from Bertnim Alleyne, the virtual complainant (VC).

The court heard that on the day in question, the VC, a hire car driver, picked up the defendant who allegedly robbed him.

In court Tuesday the Prosecution raised no objections to bail and as such the defendant was released on $50,000 bail.
