A fire, suspected to be of electrical origin, has completely destroyed a house at Triumph, East Coast Demerara, earlier today.
Reports indicate that the fire began at approximately 07:30hrs in the upper flat of the wooden structure and then rapidly spread to other parts of the building.
According to an eyewitness, when the blaze started, one man was at home. However, due to the inferno, he was unable to salvage any household items.
INews understands that by the time the fire service arrived on the scene, the entire building was engulfed in flames.

yes but as I always say if he had a fire extinguisher and been at home he might have been able to out it before it got that huge but it seems like its cheaper to lose the house than buy a fire extinguisher.
