The body of a mother of six attached to the Professional Guard Service was on Monday morning found the La Repentir Cemetery suspected to have been raped then murdered.
The dead woman has been identified as 68-year-old Margaret Dawson of Timehri, East Bank Demerara but she stayed at Albouystown, Georgetown due to her work.
Based on reports received, the now dead woman left home for work on Monday morning but was instead found dead in a partially nude state in section of the cemetery.
Guyana Times understands that the woman was expected to reach her worksite at 6:00h. The police have since confirmed that a suspect was arrested and is assisting with investigations.
