A 40-year-old pedal cyclist lost her life on Wednesday morning when she reportedly collided with a motorcyclist on the Nigg Public Road, Berbice.
Now dead is Guittrie Armogan, of 180 Second Street Nigg, New Housing Scheme.
Details surrounding the accident indicate that at around 07:30h, Armogan was proceeding west along the northern side of the road when she reportedly turned in the path of Arvin Ramnarace, 20, of Chesney Berbice.
Ramnarace was at the time said to be proceeding east along the northern side of the said road.
The duo collided and were both thrown onto the surface of the road.
They were quickly picked up and rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital where Armogan was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ramnarace who suffered severe head injuries was quickly transferred to the New Amsterdam Hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.
The Police are investigating the incident.
