A 27-year-old female accountant who resides on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD) was robbed of an undisclosed sum of cash after leaving a city bank on Wednesday.
Based on information received the robbery occurred at 13:00hrs in the vicinity of Mc Doom, EBD after the accountant cashed a cheque and was in a vehicle on her way home.
While details remain sketchy, Inews was informed that the accountant stopped at a city store to purchase some personal items before heading up the East Bank where two men on a black CG motorcycle reportedly pulled up at the side of the vehicle she was in and pointed a gun in her direction demanding her envelope with cash.
The men, upon receiving the undisclosed amount of cash, made their escape on the motorcycle, leaving the woman reportedly traumatized.
