[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 34 – year – old man of B Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown was today sentenced to three years imprisonment along with $10,000 fine for possession of narcotics.
Telly Morgan was found guilty as charged for the offence, which stated that on June 14, he had in his possession 22 grammes of marijuana.
The Prosecution facts stated that on the day in question around 22:15hrs, acting on information, ranks from the narcotics branch conducted a search of Morgan and a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis was found in one of his pants pocket.
The matter was prosecuted by Police Inspector Joel Ricknauth, who informed the Court that Morgan was previously convicted for cultivating prohibited plants.
The father of two was represented by Attorney – at – law, Dexter Todd throughout his trial.
