[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – nine – year old Lance Da’Silva was today remanded to prison for the illegal possession of a gun and matching ammunition, which were found in car he was driving at the time.
The Court heard that on November 30 at Hunter Street and Yarrow Dam Ruimveldt, he was found with a 9mm Glock pistol with 10 live matching rounds when he was not a licensed firearm holder.
After pleading not guilty to the charges, Da’Silva through his Lawyer, informed the Court that he borrowed the vehicle and had no knowledge of the gun and ammunition.
Police Prosecutor, Dinero Jones informed the Court that the car was stopped and subsequently searched by police ranks.
The father of four was then remanded by Magistrate Ann McLennan and is slated to return to court on December 03.
