[www.inewsguyana.com] – A father of three was granted $200,000 bail by City Magistrate, Ann McLennan on a drug trafficking charge.
Keshon Rhobe of Lot 1720 Priority Place, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on September 10 at Providence, East Bank Demerara, he had in his possession 30 grammes of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Representing the defendant was Attorney-at-Law, Paul Fung-a-Fat, who told the court that his client was just a visitor to the place where the alleged substance was found. The lawyer explained that Rhobe was visiting his Mother – in – Law when the illicit substance was found.
Bail was granted and the matter was transferred to the Providence Magistrate’s Court for September 28.
