A father and his six-year-old son were last night rushed for medical treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital for severe head injuries and swollen leg after a motor car crashed into the bicycle they were on at the Chateau Margot public road, East Coast Demerara.
Alim Mohamed, 33, of lot 25 Le Resouvenir, East Coast Demerara was travelling from his mother-in-law’s home in LBI, East Coast Demerara where he had picked up his six-year-old son on his bicycle.
His wife, Trisha Baljor, relayed to INews that she was informed via a phone call that her husband and son had been struck down by a motor car, while she was on duty at the Ogle Gas Station.
However, INews has so far been unable to gather information regarding the driver of the motor car.
Mohamed and his son were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital by public spirited persons and, at 23:33hrs last night, they were still waiting to receive treatment and a CAT Scan. (Ramona Luthi)
