[www.inewsguyana.com] – The 1984 Toleman branded formula one car will be returned to its nature at this year’s Top Gear Festival Barbados according to a post on their Facebook page.
The car, driven by racing great Ayrton Senna during its initial season, will be piloted around the newly renovated Bushy Park Race Way in Barbados.
It will return in its glory to compete in the now extinct F1 car pursuit challenge against another supercar great in the Era, the 1989 Camel Lotus Judd.
While Senna piloted the Toleman, the Judd had at the helm Satoru Nakajima.
It adds to the already packed two day event in the Island country where former Formula one Champion Lewis Hamilton will race his car around the circuit for hot laps.
Also expected to be in there is retired driver Eddie Irvine who will join the BBC team of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
Team JapSpeed’s Shane Lynch are also on their cards as they showcase their drifting skills while rally cross drivers are expected to create history with the first Red Bull Rally outside the Americas. The two day event is billed for the May 17-18.
