[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty-two year-old Gladstone George of Agricola, East Bank Demerara who was executed in a public minibus recently has been identified as a suspect in the regent Street, Georgetown Post Office robbery.
This is according to a police media release.
The armed robbery was committed on April 01, outside of the Post Office where some $42M was stolen along with a high powered weapon.
The father of one was killed while he was heading home in the bus with other passengers. According to eyewitnesses, the lone gunman stopped the bus as it was about to pull off from Eccles with other passengers and shot George several times. The gunman then made good his escape heading to the city on foot.
George’s bag and a lunch bowl were recovered from the crime scene.
