[www.inewsguyana.com] – Former Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Sergeant Rawle Glasgow who is alleged to have intentionally set fire to his Enterprise, East Coast Demerara house, where he and his family resided is under police guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Police suspect that he drank a poisonous substance shortly after committing the act. iNews was reliably informed that the man is being treated at the moment and that the Police have not questioned him as yet.
It is not clear who took him to the hospital. Police sources told iNews that relatives claimed that Glasgow had threatened to kill them over the weekend but could not confirm what sparked the man’s outrage.
When contacted, officials at the Guyana Fire Service said the matter is still being investigated but confirmed that it was the work of an Arsonist.
All occupants of the home escaped without injuries. Glasgow lived in the house with his three children, wife and mother.
An online news site claimed Glasgow returned home and was enraged when he allegedly found his wife with a doll with his name and needles stuck in its head.
